When you have a healthy relationship with food, it can be a great source of pleasure and enjoyment. Chelsea’s goal is to help others make peace with food. Chelsea believes in an individualized, all foods fit approach to nutrition. Chelsea works to help others incorporate body trust and intuitive eating into their lives, as well as learn to listen to their body’s hunger and fullness signals.

Chelsea uses approaches such as mindful and intuitive eating and believes in a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach to nutrition and wellbeing. Chelsea also has special training in Family Based Therapy (FBT) for adolescents with eating disorders.

Chelsea also teaches nutrition courses through The University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH), where she developed two courses, Contemporary Nutrition (KIN 200) and Nutrition in health and disease (KIN 400), as part of the health and nutrition minor in the Kinesiology department.

Chelsea has a bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from the University of Alabama, and a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Alabama. Chelsea also previously worked in healthcare marketing and has a Public Relations bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.

In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys visiting national parks with her husband and daughter, cooking, trying new restaurants, hiking, taking landscape photos and petting as many dogs as possible.
